Hybrid who? :-)

Image this is one of the chappies that we care for for our neighbour. He is a Galah hybrid but I'm not sure what with!! Any guesses? He's a beautiful talker (but quiet I think compared to other toos) but very shy. We shared our first head scratch today & he clucked his little beak in pleasure & I fell more in love with him! :D
Proud mummy to:
Sooky, Patterdale Terrier
Marley, 19yr old granny cat (pure white, with cat food round the whiskers..)
Caboodle, beautiful calico cat
Ziggy, long haired shaggy blue moggy (looks like Sully off Monsters inc)
Mocksie, Maximillian Pionus
Mr Kipling, Black Headed Caique
Two Tropical tanks
Oh.. and two human boys (they're the easiest ones!)

Image here's another pic. Can I just say for the record I don't agree with hybrids at all, but obviously he is already made & I love him dearly, as does his owner (who I think wouldn't have realised the implications of hybridization when she bought him)

Beautiful crest. Gorgeous Moluccan orange. Hope he doesn't spend much time in that round cage.

I hate hate HATE his round cage :-( I've tried tactfully explaining why round (tiny) cages are so bad but his mum won't budge. She has a lovely big empty cage too but says he won't like it. He also is on a very high peanut/sunflower diet. *sigh* I think of all the changes we'll make when he comes to live with us but at the moment my priority is looking after him in his owners home & gradually trying to change the ways she has known & trusted with keeping her parrots. It's a very difficult & emotional situation.

I can too easily imagine the challenges. Have other friends doing much the same to help birds near them. We do the best we can :?

He's ten yrs old. He's a delight :-) he does have his nippy moments but I think a lot of that is down to him being in a round cage, he's always watching his back, bless him..
