If you take him outside it's best to have him restrained via a harness or a cage. If he's flighted he can take off and get lost. Even clipped, if he gets a good headwind he could still take off.

I would definitely keep him in a small cage while out.....I have heard too many horror stories of birds being swooped up by hawks, plus a cat or dog could come along. Wish it was warm enough to plant flowers here!

Thanks I do have a cage to take Him outside in. I just didn't know if it was to soon totake Him out. He is doing wonderful. He started playing last night with a bell I got Him. And right now He is playing with it again. Also He was making a lot of noise last night. Chirps and he was not a happy camper when I put Him back in His cage so We could go to bed. He was madder than a wet Hen.

Definitely keep him in a cage AND close to you . Never leave him alone outside no matter what!

That is why I live in AZ. use to live in Alaska and hated every minute of the winter!!!!! Hubby loved it up there even winters with the ice and snow and all the rest of the bad stuff that goes with winter.
Chip will be in His outside cage that I can move around with Me where ever I go. I sure hope that there will be no probles with the dog next door, She is a barker and I don't want Chip to get stressed out.
