Rosie put herself to bed tonight

Postby Rosies Mommy on Sun Dec 21, 2008 9:23 pm

I thought this was so cute so I thought I would share it..

So Rosie's bedtime is 8, about 7 or 7:30 we put a little towel over her house to help keep the heat from her heater in there thru the night. As you all know she is rarely in her house at all besides to sleep. So at 8 I give her goodnight kisses and hugs and put her on her top sleep perch and lock the door in her house. Well tonight about 7:30ish she went into her house all on her own and was acting all silly hanging upside down and having fun. After about 15 minutes of that she started yelling at her toys and when we would talk to her she would yell at us. So I started doing the nightly stuff that I do to get her to bed expecting her to run out of her house like she usually would and she just stood there in her house watching us like waiting for us to finish so that we could leave her alone and she could get to sleep.. I guess she got tired and cranky so she put herself to bed tonight.. She is so silly and smart she knows when her bedtime is.. She has never put herself to bed as far back as I can remember..

OK thats it just sharing :)

That is so cute! I have (had) a separate sleep cage and bedroom for Luna. Just a week or two ago I started putting her in by the entrance and tell her to go to bed. I always tell her it's time for bed when in the day cage room (living room) so she would learn it's bed time. She started to step off my finger and willingly step into the cage to sleep.

Ivy and Pip both do the same kind of thing......when they're to turn in for the night they let me know! Woody and Boss often when getting ready to go to sleep for the night, will fight over a good sleeping spot! Oh sometimes they chirp so loudly at each other that I have to go over and break it up! They fight over the same spot to sleep in! If I go to them and pick one of them up and put in a different spot, they always quiet down after that. Tonight they didn't fight over a sleeping spot! Funny birds!

Thank you BB :) I appreciate that very much :)

Thats so cute how Woody & Boss fight over a sleeping place. That is just adorable but what good babies to stop fighting once Momma goes and puts them in their spot, thats just adorable.

Rosie has never done that before. Usually at bedtime she is busy playing in her toybox and on her mini playgym. She gets this burst of energy at night silly girl..

What she does do is put herself in her carry cage when we are gonna go somewhere. It was so funny on Sunday I was taking her to get her cut and I put a little towel on the bottom of her carry cage when we use it. Well I put the cage out and I turned to get a towel for it and when i turned back around I didn't see Rosie on the table and i almost started panicking when I noticed that she was patiently sitting inside her cage ready to go . She loves going for rides and stuff and she likes to get in her carry cage on her own she don't let me put her in there she likes to show me that shes a big girl and get in all on her own.. **Loves Her**
