hey! Louie (my princess of wales parakeet) is featured in this month's editoral in Birdtalk! I know I am a ham as well as my birds!
Also I just bought Button this new 'chewy" perch. I saw it advertised in Birdtalk a few months ago and I found it in a bird supply store in NH. All the other tiels are big babies and are afraid of anything 'new" but Button ran over to the new perch and had a blast stripping it.At least this will keep her busy for awhile rather than picking at herself.

Yes, I saw Louie! very pretty bird! I knew right away it was you and Louie because you had mentioned to me that you were going to send in something about that article, so I wasn't surprised! Not the first time one of your birdies has made into Birdtalk! I keep sending pics in for watch the birdie, on the last page, but so far none of them have been published I also noticed they have another article in there about pionus.......I think the last time they had an article about pionus it was much better than this one was. Pi's are great birds! I am SO happy that I found and got my Ivy girl! She is a mamma's girl and wants nobody else but me! plus she is very gentle, not just with me, but with the other birds.

I thought of you (Woody) when I saw the article and poster in Birdtalk about pionus.That would be great if you got an article and pic of Ivy in Birdtalk. So far, Woody & Boss were "stars" in the Bird talk cockatiel magazine!
Louie is a nice bird he is such a good pal to Button!
BTW Those shredder perches are a great toy/activity. They are regular wood perches with loose paper like-bark on it. Button spends time stripping the bark. Fresh Baby is such a big wimpy baby. She is afraid of the perch. That is probably a good thing so Button can have the perch to herself.
