I am glad Raisen is doing well. I bet Raisen is a girl.
i do not think moving to a new house will be all that traumatic so long as the birds are in an area that they can see the family!

To the detriment of my good judgement, I'll say this about giving the birds sweetened cereals. At this point in their lives, I would let them try anything as far as food goes, so they learn that human food is good, and by letting them have a sweetened cereal, that would reinforce the fact that human food is OK, and if they put stuff out for us to eat, then it's surely OK. I'd not mak a habit of giving them sweetened cheerrios, but a little would not hurt them, given the minute amount they would eat. Just think of it as a treat, but reinforcing the fact that people food is good for us is a way to get them to eat other stuff.

While a bite may not hurt a healthy bird, if a bird is beginning to harbor yeast, then something sweetened would definetly harm them. In fact Sam, I hate to contradict you, but everything they put out there for us is not good for us, and several things are toxic to birds and perfectly healty for us, avacado for example. I hope I'm just reading your post wrong though.

I'm not saying that in 20 years my tiels haven't had something sweetened, but I never make a habit of letting them have it, that is asking for trouble.
