We thought she was a boy when we first got her. She was just weaned and it looked like she was a boy with a light yellow head, that would mature into a bright yellow. But we were wrong. She's a girl all the way through....

Jet looks just like my eddie :D
I am amazed how you have them sitting in your yard without them taking off (?)
I don't even put mine the yard in a cage because we live in the eagle/hawk area in the NE!

Yeah, but we only do that because she's clipped and we have almost no trees in our yard. The most she can do it get on the grass. The couple times she has done that she immediately ran to either my husband or me.
We've only seen a hawk once, but we always check before we go out with them. The big problem we have is feral cats and racoons, but the cats are scared of people and the racoons are scared of my husband. Even when they're on a stand we're standing beside them... we don't even let them on our screened porch alone.
