    Raw almonds out of the shell are fine, as a treat. Roasted and salted are not.

    Almonds are a good source of calcium. I use almond slices from the bulk food dept of my supermarket.. A slice or two is fine for tiels. As all nuts are high in fat moderation is the key.----Yogi
