Bubba was on a mix of milk thistle, dandilion root, and ginsing. the ginsing had alcohol, and Bubba got to the point that it was impossible to give him his meds as a result of the alcohol. The vet took him off the mix and has me giving him milk thistle and ginsing tea (instead of his normal water). Dandilion root would not have been perminent in his meds anyway, she would have rotated him on and off it. My vet is supposedly a really good herbalist, so I am trying to do what she tells me .

I ordered the "nature's answer" online. Hopefully I will get it soon. I tried giving Button the powdered version and she ran away.

Bubba is the only bird on it. he gets 1 mL (he was getting .05) twice a day on a nutraberry. He will get it for the rest of his life, the amount will vary based on his liver function tests. Hope this helps! Kissess for Button.

Looks like I'll be looking into the same stuff! Noel's having liver issues, too, and the vet says to add it to what she's getting now (corn oil mixed with flax seed oil, plus diltued aspirin)... Not sure how soon I'll be able to get some though (will probably look around in the health food stores first, before ording online... or look at both and see whats cheapest!)
