Baby, come back to me! (LOST!)

Postby baby_pumkin on Wed Mar 12, 2008 6:47 pm

Pumpkin got lost today! She was on her cage, and my mom opened the door and out she flew!!! Call of the wild! What should we do? We've been looking for her all morning, afternoon, and we're afraid she won't survive the night!! We live in Pennsylvania, and it was SO windy today! She was lifted so high up in the breeze... What to do??

HELP US!!!

Gee, you must be like the third person on here that lost your bird outside----since I been here anyway! Remember this......the first two birds were found! and the other is still on the loose now, not sure for how long, I know it's been over a week. Here is Rosies mom's thread when she lost Rosie.........viewtopic.php?t=62284&start=0
Please read that and all the advice is there and best of luck to you that pumpkin comes home!

Go to my site, there are SEVERAL links there on what to do when your bird is lost. You will need to make fliers and continue to look. Don't give up.

I am so sorry you lost your baby! Check the escapee thread below to find some suggestions and some websites to post about your missing bird. put out fliers, take out an ad in your local newspaper. Set a cage outside with food and water.

Good luck!

I've been posting this everywhere possible... If any of you lives in PA, NJ, NY, or Maryland (Is the abriviation for that MD? or maybe ML?) then that's where she may be. It's day three, and she still hasn't shown up. We're looking every day! Oh, and here are the two posters I made and am hanging laminated copies around where I live::

I may need her more than she needs me...

MD is the abbreviation for Maryland.

I found a site once that had all sorts of tips for recovering lost birds. One of their tips was that REWARD in CAPITAL letters should be the first words on your posters. It will catch people's attention. Some people will be more likely to return the bird instead of keep a freebie it if they get a reward. Sad but true.

Any luck? Maybe recruit neighborhood kids on the search and offer a reward. Contact animal control...
I hope you didn't get that snow storm.....
