I just got married in September & we did everything our own way. I have several married friends & I just remembered how crazy they made their selves trying to plan everything & then when the big day came, they hardly got to enjoy any of it b/c they were so rushed & nervous.

We did the opposite. We eloped. We flew out to Seattle & got married in an adorable little chapel on the ocean. Then we went down to the beach with our photographer & took tons of pictures and the next morning we set out on an Alaskan cruise. I loved every second of it, I loved that it was just the two of us, & I wouldn't change a thing!

    Married

We got married in September also...2006 though. We did it our way...got married in a gazebo on a cliff at Laguna Beach overlooking the Pacific. It was fun, no hassle, and relaxing.

It is a time to enjoy! Whatever you do, have fun!!!

That is so nice... I wouldn't mind getting rid of all of the hassle and stree of planning, but I am looking forward to a church wedding--eloping definately easier, and very romantic, and in my case, less family strife...

I am Roman Catholic, which means, pretty much, I need to get married in a church in order for the Church to recognize my marriage (with the exception for some cases i.e. "neutral" wedding location for, say a Catholic and a Jew or Muslim)--but I like the idea of all my friends and family being there to cellebrate with us. We aren't planning anything really big maybe around 100 guests (compared to my parents' wedding with 1000, that will be easy, lol). One church has some significance to me so I would like to be married there, and I want a priest from my old H.S. to marry us. I am excited, can you tell?

I strongly believe Jackie and Ryan are soaking up the rays on the HI Islands by now. Her last note to me said they were gonna hit two islands -- Hawaii, and I can't remember the other, but they both love outdoors, climbing, hiking, surfing, snorkling... Their wx should be near perfect! I'm just tickled pink she finally tied the knot :)
