Yippee! So glad they all have homes.....I didn't know shelters had birds! I thought it was basically dogs and cats.....wow. Might have to look there if I start to add a new baby to my home!

I feel bad for Bart He misses you I only have one tiel so I don't really know if you are being too extreme - but since it will only be a short time do what you thing is right.

I just finished a quarantine period... i know it is a huge pain. As for the shirt thing... I did the same thing, only if they were crawling around on me, and LOTS of hand washing. Generally you quarantine for at least 30 days. However, I have had the babies for about 3 weeks. Yesterday they went to a vet check, and the vet cleared them. he said it would be okay to introduce them to Bubba, so I did , with his blessing. If you have been in contact with the woman, maybe ask who her vet was, if you can get a copy of their records, when they were checked last, etc.

I will check with her about the vet records. but i think that i am going to wait a little while as she is still going through alot.
she gave me a whole stack of pics that she had taken of blondie's and mya's sisters and brothers and baby pics of them along with alot of other pics of birds she had rescued through the years... lori's, loves, cockatiels and some real nice ones of makaws.
I thought it kind of strange that she was giving me all her photos. i thought that she might want to keep them for memorie sake? but i understand when she told me that she was giving them to me because she gets too sad to see them.
I think that i am going to make a scrap book out of them and hold on to them for her and maybe with time she will heal in her heart and then i will give the book to her. i think that it will just take time.
I also plan to go to a pet photographer and have a family pic taken of all my birds and add that to it as well, at the end of the scrap book. so she can end the book with the thought that they all are family.
petco is having a pet photographer comming in the middle of august and he and i already discussed how the pic should be taken.
he has this little wagon that is like a planter and he says that they will be in the wagon and have one on the handle. like it is pulling it.

so 30 days is long enough for a quarentine? that is good. but poor lil bart. he is so restless now. i try to spend most of my free time with him and i told my fieonce that he has to do the same. we are still working with whisper. she is so stubborn. she wants to only stay in the cage mostly. but i do get her out on the play gym and then she just sits there. i think that she is very old. she dosnt look like a young bird. you can see her wiseness in her eyes.
