I have no idea since I can't get mine to eat ANYTHING other than seed mix, millet, an occasional bite of any muffin or bagel. They will not try anything. I worried that this would not be healthy for them since I heard of so many other cockatiels eating veggies and all. But I do give them a daily vitamin in their food. And just keep trying different things by leaving it in the bowl. Usually untouched. LOL

I actually looked it up and country cottage says they are safe..

Toni, hang in there my Rosie didn't want to eat fresh foods at all besides corn and doritos and now shes eating more foods which I love seeing.. I don't know how long you've had your baby but I have had Rosie for 4 months now and it seems to me that the closer she gets to me and the more she trusts me the more different foods shes willing to try.

Toni - try eating the veggies in front of them saying "MMMMMMMMMM YUMMY!" When they see you eating something, they have to have it! You could even have a plate for them on the table - but NOOOO that's not good enough!! They want what's on YOUR plate.

They are little stinkers!! But totally cute!

:D :D

Toni,
I have the same problem, only I have gotten mine to eat pellets with the seed. Sometimes they like things in tiny tiny pieces, so sometimes it isn't even the food they don't want, it's the size they don't like-----so don't lose hope! I still try with mine and now woody will try things for me, so I keep on trying things. Woody loves any type of bread too---try them with bread. Also, you might want to try this.....I got this little pot of greens that you grow and it takes about five days to grow them, then you can attach the little pot to the inside of their cage and just leave it for them to check out, and it's in the security of their cage, so I think this helps. Woody took to it right away, but boss took a couple of days----but both birds like this now and will eat it! And trust me, boss is tough one! I think if she will eat it, then you stand a good chance with yours! Here is the link to the pot of greens...........

Also, if I had known this before, I would have bought two of them, so you can change them out and grow new ones while the other is still in the cage.
