Worth repeating, Chick #2 is now named Suzie, Chick #4 is pretty much Scooter for his or her propensity for scooting away at inopportune moments. Chick #5, fka Lil Bit is now JoJo or Lil Jo or BOO BOO as I call him as he has bimped his beak two days in a row this week. Names for the other two are being bandied about.

The official nestbox home has been removed, although Missy tries to lay eggs and poor Smokey is doing his best to "do his duty". The eggs are clear and there is no danger of another brood. It's all for the best. Parents to sporadically feed the chicks; it's more for comfort and bonding at this point than it is about sustenance.

New visitors from the UK, Germany, Scotland, all over the U.S. Hobbes the artist had a birthday and made us all jpeg jigsaw puzzles

Sorry this is such a spotty report, but the bottom line is the chicks are growing, weights are steady, learning to eat, and we're all totally enjoying visiting the cam. We talk birds, vacuums, traffic, food, makeup, tekno-geek, graduations, and have a lot of fun, too much at times.
Big excitement starts in very short order as construction on the bird room will commence as soon as the gubment permits are pulled and plans finalized. We will be putting on our cyber hard-hats and helping out!
