His Highness King Bubba

Postby bubbabird85 on Wed May 16, 2007 6:06 pm

So I came to the realization today that Bubba, and probably most of the birds who own the people on this forum, are treated like royalty... and we are peasants... we do all the hard labor... and they live and eat better than we do. It is sad... I know, but it is true...

I came to this realization today in Giant Eagle, stating to the man at the fish counter "I know this sounds really strange... but I need 4 shrimp... they are for my bird..." (thanks for the shrimp idea sam :D) This is sad... the bird eats better than I do. Can I afford shrimp for myself....noooo, but of course his highness Bubba must have it. So for dinner, His Magesty Bubba ate shrimp, rice, cheese, kale, tomato, and scrambled eggs. After which I needed to wipe his beak (though it was halarious watching him try to do it himself).

LOL... sure... BBQ! He is doing okay.... just as sweet and bratty as usual... he is being a brat about his meds. I originally needed to force feed, then he started eating it in bread, and now he refuses it on the bread, then tried other stuff... and he is rediculous. I am worried, however, because he doesn't seem to want to eat! Vet said get him off the colored pellets and onto non-colored, but now he is not eating much. I tried slow conversion, but he won't even touch the colored ones either. But he is eating people food. his poops are also a bit wierd, not quite normal... so trying to figure out what I can add/subtract to his diet that he will actually tollerate. I dunno.... we will see. he did, however, chow down on all his people food... but ate nothing all day (except for a little bit of rice) till he got that. Still trying to figure things out here.

To continue the royal treatment of his Majesty - try hand feeding him the natural pellets.

That is "Her Royal Majesty LUNA" preferred eating method of pellets :?

I guess it's just like dogs/cats, once they eat people food, they don't want to go back! Can you blame them? Yucky pellets compared to shrimp? I'd even take the shrimp!
