After the chick-check (everything was fantastic for all 5) I proceeded out to the front desk to pay the bill. I was watching the lady write in the various things, and she said $110.64. No problem. I wrote a check in that amount and handed it to her, and she said "No, you have a credit" .. Huh? A measly $0.46 from the last time when I didn't want to wait for change... So I argued with her, and said I DO NOT have any credit here.. I want to pay my bill, and here's the check. "NO! You don't understand... you have a credit here".. She handed me the statement, and I said what the heck is going on.. She then explained they received two sums of money to take care of the vet visit, but were anonymous. I begged her to tell me who it was, and she wouldn't. Apparently everyone in the office knew about it but me
So here I stand, with my cardboard box full of chicks, my notebook and a sheepish look on my face. I thanked them for their service and all the while, my mind is racing.. Who the heck would do this for me? A few names came to mind, and I am 100% sure of who it is, but for privacy purposes, I'll not reveal who I think it is.
At any rate, my very sincere thanks to both co-conspirators, and just remember, payback can be very "fun"
I'll leave the rest of you guessing who it is, but with that thought in mind, just remember, you really do have friends on UAS. That is one thing for sure.
