Also molting will tire them out at times and they may sleep more and seem more tired. When we first got woody, he was in a pet store and we visitted him several times before we got him. The first time I saw him, he was being vocal and looked like he was trying to communicate with me, it was so cute! but after that each time we went back, he was always tired or sleeping, even tried going at different times of the day----still sleeping most of the time, or getting ready to doze off, so I wondered if he was ok-------turned out he was in his first molt---he was molting, that is why he was always tired. I found this out after getting him home and finding all the feathers on the bottom of the cage for about two weeks after we got him. This is woody's second molt, and it is all the info I have to try to guess his age, so I am thinking he is somewhere between a year and 18 months old.
