Sorry you can't keep your tiel! I know there are ways to help allergies but in extreme cases where-in humidifiers, air cleaners, and meds may not help, it's probably the best option to find a home where the bird isn't allergic! Good to at least know he's going to a great home!

I talked with Jason and he said that most of the time it is the dust from the tiels I have tried pills and humidfiers have the pills due to my allergies to spring period! When I had Jojo I didn't have these problems so I will be keeping the budgie who has been thru enough she has become attached to my hubby and even our son she has a toe that is almost off from the people before I don't think they even noticed! I don't think it is fair to Angel to be locked up all the time because all I due is sneeze or blow my nose don't want him sick in case it isn't allergies and also Jason doesn't have kids Angel is still really just my bird doesn't like hubby or son but does like Jason weird yes since my hubby has never done anything but try to be nice! I will still be getting Baby Chika but my dreams of ever having a Goffin are shattered if I can't handle a cockatiel I won't be able to handle a Goffin no way! When I open the window when it isn't to darn cold outside it is a little better but like I said if I can't hold Angel without sneezing and he will only sit by me how fair is that kind of life! I am doing what I feel is best for Angel and I can still see him so it works for all of us Angel will have a friend Queenie we will have to see how she does and Jason said if she gets to depressed missing Angel he would take her to but I am hoping she will do fine my hubby loves the little stinker she bites me and scolds me that is cute! Well if I knew there was another way believe me I would try but Angel will always have dust! It will be ok Jason Adopted his cockatiel to and his used to eat seeds but now after much work and different ideas eats very healthy so will Angel once he sees the other one do it and Jason works with him! Sorry this is so long! Just want everyone to know this isn't a last min decision I have had them for a month and I have been pretty well sneezing since the 1st week so after thinking it over and pondering I feel being able to see him do good in another home with someone with more experience with cockatiels is better for him!

    Thank you all Ruth

Just a thought, I suffer from severe allergies, dust grass pollen,, the usual stuff, when we got ouf first tiel I had very bad symptoms for nearly two months, but they started to subside and by the three month mark my bird allergy was gone.
