I've got software that can manipulate some aspects of the images which came with the camera, the Nikon Picture Project, and it will also open raw files to really mess with. My main problem is I believe, white balance when shooting outside, or it could be something as simple as forgetting to put a filter on.. I just have not taken time to read about all the manual settings the D-70 has but most of the time, the auto mode takes good pictures. I don't choose my backgrounds so well, but then again, the kids don't let me choose it much either, so I shoot when and where I can! I do know one version of Adobe's photoshop will open RAW files, and can manipulate everything about the image including white balance, saturation, hue, shading and all that. The software that came with the D-70 won't let you adjust the w/b on raw files, as it's a cheaper version of the professional product. I will check it out though.
