I'm going to look for some kind of very small camera that will work with very low light. I thought about an IR camera, but since 'tiels can see into the low end of the IR spectrum, they might actually see the IR illumination, so that's out. Also thought about a very dim lighbulb, or even a red LED to provide some light, but to be as least intrusive as possible will take a bit of creativity on my part. I have a camera now, but don't think it will work in a near dark envrionment, and know it would not at night.

Ditto with me Jo on the sleeping bit. I have to think they do not sleep a full 12 hours, but sleep some, are awake, then back to sleep. I know every little noise they hear will make them at least rustle in sleep, and my house is NOT perfectly quiet at night. Always an appliance on/off and other thngs that go bump in the night :)
Hi, my name is Sam, and I'm a 'tiel addict !
