Does anyone know of a place that sells large trees or bushes for perching? I'm looking for something about 6' tall +/- but not too large. I have seen manzanita "poles" for sale, but don't think I've ever seen any other type. About the closest thing I've seen to what I want was in one of the pet stores.

One other thought... since crepe myrtle is a safe tree, anybody got one growing in their house, and if so, how does it do? I'd assume FS lighting would be an absolute must for it to grow.

I remember about 2 months ago about a a gentleman posted about not having his bird in a cage - had a tree for it.

For the crepe myrtle, look into books about indoor bonsai tree care, they are very popular with bonsai enthusiasts. I used to grow indoor bonsai trees, but I never had a crepe myrtle.

I never saw crepe myrtle on a safe list - do you have a web address for it?
