Ok guys need help anyone out there know how long the mateing time last. Joey have been doing the bussiness with sally everyday for about the last four days, and has a agressive nature towards me and Gizmo before and after the event obversley his hormone's are on overdrive. most of the day he is his usual self.
I have never had a bird in heat and if anyone has any info I would appriciate it.
oh by the way there's a good chance Joey has never been with a female before.

I don't think there is a set time frame they will mate, but from my experiences, it might last a month, off and on, or could be just a couple of weeks. If it's just started, you'll just have to tollerate their normal instincts, but there is no reason they should be ill toward you, unless you feel like a threat to their well being, which I doubt. Pretty much just have to write it off to experience, and the learning curve, but they should return to normal selves in short order, even if they continue to mate now and then.
