Yes, they LOVE her, and I would say she feels the same. Our Dane can not lay down with out Jack and Jill climbing all over her. She seems to tollerate the very well, they love tp preen her

How long did it take for this friendship to happen? and what did the tiels think of the dog at first? I have a big black lab here now for three weeks, and my tiel was a bit nervous about it at first------but now he even seems to greet the dog by picking up his foot and his wing and stretching it, and the dog still could care less that the bird exists! He hardly even notices him. I take the bird out with the dog in the room and its pretty obvious now that the dog is no danger to my bird, but I still keep a constant eye and watch over and keep a safe distance. I do think though, that this paticular dog could end up friends with my tiel----the bird is getting curious about him, and has once tried to go towards him when the dog was sleeping, so we went and picked up the bird and the dog just got up and moved to a different spot, like he was saying---leave me alone so I can sleep!

That is so cute!! My tiel loves my 19 year old cat and greets her with a chirp whenever she enters or leaves the room. Sherwin has also gone as far as to give her heart wings a time or two, which I see as a sign of affection or like. Thanks for sharing!!

Actually, the teils were just out flyng around one day and landed on her. As soon as they landed they fluffed up and hissed at her, she looked at them and went back to sleep. After that, they flock to her everytime she sleeps and she does not budge until they pick at her ears or paws a little too long then she picks up her head and looks at them. when she looks at me I know it is time to step in and "save" the little girl from the big bad birdies
