Tiel books

Postby ockeracres on Fri Jan 12, 2007 4:59 pm

Can anyone recommend a good tiel book? I have so many questions about Petey's behaviors and how I should have my cage set up, where i should put food/water bowls and toys. Plus, what are there most active times, etc.

You can buy used books online---they are really cheap, that is what I did. I bought "cockatiels for dummies" and "why do cockatiels do that?" used. Here is the site.......

I like "the new cockatiel handbook" and "parrots for dummies" I noticed alot of the cockatiel books go into detail about color mutation for breeding. Since I don't care about that and it doesn't effect the bird in any way I found that the "parrots for dummies" gives a lot of basic care and does get species specific for some things.
