For the last couple of days, all my kids have been acting kind of strange, and they are "out of sorts" so to speak. Smokey, who is generally very quiet, has been just chirping the same note over and over. The rest have been kind of skittish as well. I don't recall full moon behavior like this in prior months, or perhaps I didn't notice. The chirp Smokey is making is one that sounds like either a query, or one of anxiety and anticipation. I tried moving the cage away from the door back to where he used to reside, and that seemed to help, but then the rest of them started screaming because they weren't together, but were only maybe 8' apart.
I also noticed Missy has become hormonal again, and wanting Gizmo and Smokey to mate with her. Cockatiels don't have a specific time to come into estrus, but anybody know if they have a monthly cycle like other animals? She had been rather quiet in hormonal terms for the last couple of months. Of course, all are so immature, they don't know what to do, but I try to discourage actions that would cause Missy to go into egg laying mode, as she's really too young.
