bird grooming info

Postby bostonbudgie on Tue Jan 02, 2007 8:53 am

I got an email from www.thebirdguru.com
she does mobile bird grooming in the greater Boston area.
FYI she will be doing bird grooming at these locations
Jan 28 12-3
"especially for Pets'
Wayland, MA
Jan. 14 12-4
"especially for pets"
Westborough, MA
I thought I would pass this info along to those that were interested in getting their tiels nails/wings trimmed in MA/NH areas!

Hey does she ever go further west in mass? I am in western mass and that would be great if she came out here. I bet she could get alot of business here because even avian vets are hard to come by around here.

Nevermind, I emailed her and got a quick response---she seems very nice and I guess at times she does come out this way, but I ended up finding a small pet store that does wing clipping that is closeby to me, so I bought a small cage for travel, and brought him and FINALLY got his wings clipped---yeah! :D He was a very good birdie too! as soon as we got back home, he went in his cage and went to the back of his cage, and withing about five minutes, you could hear the beak grinding-----all tired out from getting all worked up about it! It was quick and painless, and they only charged 3 dollars----I gave her a five! the vet was going to charge 11 dollars! so now my woody is clipped! he seems to have gotten over it already too----he's so good natured, and not alot phases him much! His taming should come along nicely now and no worries of him getting hurt flying!
