Christmas with the Kids

Postby Diego's Mom, Lisa on Fri Dec 15, 2006 3:16 pm

I copied Noel's message from the food post and moved it over here. We started talking about Christmas presents and thought it deserved a new topic of it's own!!

Isn't that they way though. Animals always love the boxes and bags, q-tips and paper clips. I raided everyone's paper clip containers at work and took Casper a bunch of the colored ones. A friend got her hooked on those. The paper clips are all in a chain, she drags them around. The chain is so long, she trips over it.

Casper is already snooping under the tree. I don't think she really cares about the contents, she just loves the wrapping paper.

Make sure you don't throw Sherwin out with the trash!!!

I hope everyone has a great holiday, no matter what your faith or beliefs. Be safe!

I have totally been buying presents for both him and Nikki. Nikki gets cat nip toys and she knows they're in the house...she can smell them. Sherwin is getting some treats and some new toys for his cage, although he seems to like the simpler things better than the expensive ones. Right now his favorite toy is a bag of cotton balls....go figure. He has a ball dragging the bag across the couch and tossing it on the floor. One of Nikki's favorite toys is a twisty tie that comes off of dry cleaning bags or bread bags. Party City idea is a good idea....I need to check that out. My entire family is coming to Charlotte next week and I can only imagine what Christmas morning will be like!! It's going to be difficult keeping him out of the bags and boxes.

We watched Rudolph this evening and there is something about animated shows that he loves....not sure what it is....but it holds his attention. From time to time he would bob his head as if he was listening to music, but no music was playing. Reminds me of a small child. :D

I am getting my bird one of those lights you plug in and they charge and go on when the power goes out. We had a bad storm here a few weeks ago, and the power went out and my poor birdie was home alone in the dark  so I decided then this was what I was getting my bird for christmas.
