Popcorn...

Postby Sherwin's Mom on Thu Nov 30, 2006 7:24 pm

Do you just pop it the old fashioned way on the stove? It's been a LONG time since I have popped it on the stove.

I haven't tried popcorn with my bird yet. I will have to try it.

Yep.. just like we did in the "old days"! Little bit of oil and just enough popcorn to cover the bottom, or as much as you wish to pop. Don't forget to leave the lid open a little so the steam can get out, otherwise, it'll wind up being tough.

I've heard most birds love Kale and Luna goes crazy for it! Since her cage is open most of the day I hang a piece through the top of the cage close to a perch - stem side in the cage and fluffy leaf on top of the cage. She also loves parsley, and occasionally beet greens. I also give her thawed frozen corn and peas.

Remembe to keep offering fresh foods to your bird. They'll start trying and eating them. If they see you eat it - even better!
