Let's see - Whistling. I have read about birds from other members whose birds whistle and sing and it is so lovely to hear. Dino on the other hand whistles the same pathetic things I taught him - I know it's my own fault for not being a better whistler!! I'm only human not a bird! Then he only whistles as a manipulation tactic if he is left alone for more then 30 seconds - SERIOUSLY? Crazy bird....
Eating. OK this one is totally crazy!! He would rather be on me or hubby then eat!!! I know we are loveable, but not eating? Even I wouldn't do that!! Just like I did with Luna, Dino has avicakes in one cup, seed in another cup and then I give him fresh food in a dish on the cage floor - usually eggs (I make special scrambled eggs with "stuff" in it for him) and I add extra veggies or sprouts to the dish. So he is on the cage and looks to see what I put in for him to eat, then he just stays on the cage top or on the door (like a draw bridge and makes a shelf) and watches us! After a few minutes he'll venture into the cage to eat and still keep an eye on us. If I get up and walk a step or two he leaves the food and comes back out onto the draw bridge!! OMG he might miss something!!!! Then he'll go back in and move through his buffet until he's had his fill. I'll take him to hang out with me for a while, I'll check his eggs and most of the time he barely touches them. Fine. I think I'll get the eggs and see if he'll eat any. Sure enough, now that the dish is on me, he digs in as if he hasn't eaten in days!!!! And he practically licks the dish clean!! Crazy bird.
Kisses. He loves kisses when HE wants them - no consideration what we want!! It's all about him. He thinks I'm going to wait for him to give him a kiss? He is a crazy bird!!
Here he is - what a bugger!!
