The megabac finally came in the mail. Since Carl is the only one using it so I think it was last awhile. My vet said she had a cleint who was on it for a YEAR before he was cured! I switched him back to seeds & harrison's mash (from the avicakes) since he tends to drink more when he eats seeds. Therefore, he will ingest more megabac. I also bought a disinfectant cleaner from vetafarm as well used to kill bacteria speciifcally geared to birds carrying AGY.
Carl is a crusty old bird and he is still hanging in there!

Carl is well, Carl. He is still throwing up so this is going to be a loooong consistant process.He IS drinking the megabac-especially since he is eating just regular seeds & harrisons rather than avicakes.
It will be interesting to check his gram stain after this huge bottle is gone (two months?)
