Hey everyone!! I've been VERY deliquent here! I finished up my student teaching in December....that was what was keeping me away from Sept - Dec and now I'm looking for a teaching job! Lost my part time job with Linens n Things since it went bankrupt. Unemployment is sure fun.. NOT!! Not when you're a newlywed with a mortgage! Anyhoo, just dropping by to say hello! Lola is doing find. She went thru her annual feather chewing oct-dec. She had a REALLY big molt too.
Something I didnt tell you guys is that we adopted a kitten back in August. She was 4 molnths old when we brought her home. Josie is her name: here's a few pics:

She got into Lola's cage while I was cleaning it! Lola was on her window perch when this happened!


It started as a stretch but then she decided to stay that way!


Lola and Josie get along very well. They tolerate eachother. But Josie is afraid of Lola and thats ok! They are always supervised and really dont pay any attention to eachother. It's quite peaceful actually!

Good to hear from you and glad you are well This economy sure is a bitch, huh? The new kitty looks like she has loads of personality. Glad to hear Lola is well also. How is she adjusting to married life? Having to share you with your hubby ??

Lola is responding well to married life. She's always loved my hubby Anthony! Sometimes she wants nothing to do with me and its DADDY DADDY DADDY!!!!
Josie the kitty has quite the personality. She's a blast. We really got lucky with how shes such a good cat. She's not declawed and she's NEVER laid a claw on the furniture, uses her scratching post religiously. She plays nicely and isnt ever hissy or mean. It's unbelievable how lucky we got!

glad things are going good with lola and congrats on your new kitty! and congrats on completing your student teaching. if you don't mind me asking, what area of teaching did you get your certification in? i work in the HR dept of our local school district.

I am getting my certification in Elem Ed k-5 and I have an endorsement in Special Ed. I have to finish filling out my paperwork and scrounge up 350 bucks!

I work in Pemberton Twp. Elementary positions can be a challenge to get, but not impossible. Special Ed positions are harder to fill. Our district is actually trying to "cut back" as we expect some cut backs in monies. However, if anything opens in those areas all pm you and let you know. Are you interested in substitute work or interim positions. We do hire alternate route for Special Ed as long as you are enrolled in a Special Ed. program.

I am subbing in Toms River Schools. Pemberton is kind of a hike for me. But please let me know of any openings. Thanks!
