I have a video of him playing ball, but I'm having issues getting it from my phone to the computer....

He's adorable! I rushed to read your post in hopes you'd named him after Ginny Caputo's lesser Jardine's, the first Wingnut I ever knew. She was active on forums I was on 10-12 years ago and published a research document on aspergillosis that completely filled me with pride: http://www.virginiacaputo.com/parrot/asper.html The vet interviewed for the article, Rose Fiskett, was my primary vet at the time and had treated one of my sweet loves for asper. She died of it later, a real heart break. Anything we can learn about asper is good knowledge. We want all our birds alive and healthy!

I'm glad you're having such fun with your new nutty baby.

Is this a Mustached or a Derbyan? He is absolutely gorgeous. I love their markings! I also have a 'Harper' - he's an Alexandrine and just got his 'beard' and 'pink neck band' last year. What an experience to see him morph from a little green bird into a stunning, handsome man!

What great pictures of a very happy little caique. I sure miss those days - but my guys still make me laugh at something daily.

It was 8 years ago today that my 2 little white bellies flew here from North Carolina. They were 11 weeks and 14 weeks. I remember that day as tho it was yesterday. I had to hand feed them still a little and what little monkies they were.
