on a caique! a wb and the breeder should have babies in may to august. I'm so excited! Any advice for a newbie? I know most people would not recommend one as a first bird, but i've done the research, and I really want this bird. This is a new bird store coming to my town so I may get a job there to get some experience, but take proper precautions so not to spread disease. I'm so excited and I just can't hide it!

We are happy to have you join the party !!!!!! I decided on a Caique because of the people on this thread and the dedication and enthusiasm they show for these terriers of the parrot world. I had never even met one and dont regret my decision for a second. The only word of advice for a new owner is patience.. Cisco at this moment is trying to get the keys of the keyboard and whistling and laughing with delight. You will never be bored with one of these kids.

Yeah I'm on the waiting list of Gloria from Shady pines. Heard great things about her, she says she will have a baby for me sometime between may and the end of summer-ish. I can't wait! Now just to get all the stuff and find a name. I like penelope for a girl, it's like naming a baby! How exciting!
