I have to say that that is an amazingly sweet story. If only all disabled birds had such luck as to find homes like Stevie's!
It's absolutely wonderful that he has found a forever home with someone willing and able to adjust to owning a bird who has no eyes.
It just goes to show you that even seemingly "imperfect" birds can still be perfect companions.

Little Stevie the Wonder Caique hatched in my aviary, from parents who have had many perfect babies over the years. He was named by me upon hatching when we found he had no eyes. He was very special from the beginning, much more vocal and responsive than other babies his age and there was never any question that he would be raised and I would search for just the right home for him.

Christine has created a wonderful, safe environment for this little blind Caique. Aside from his lack of sight, he is a normal, rough and tumble Caique in every way, but also extremely sweet and loving. I am certain he will thrive under Christine's care. I will invite her to join the group here.
