The Lola Stroller

Postby Michelle&Lola on Tue Jul 17, 2007 1:22 pm

Hey all! Well, The past few weeks we've been trying to come up with an idea for a way I can take Lola on walks. Well, I went and bought a $10.99 Umbrella stroller from Target and brought it over to my fiance's house.

He has since taken it apart and widened it so it would fit Lola's tavel cage!

It's almost done.. needs some tweaking and then I'll post the finished pics as well as it's maiden voyage!

Check out some in progress pics!!

That's a great alternative to those pet strollers! It looks great!
Lola's going to love going on walks with you. You'll probably get a lot of attention from neighbors.
I cannot wait to see pictures of Lola outside in that!

Have you thought of naming Lola's little vehicle? :D

Yeah those dog strollers that they have just dont fit the needs of a bird! and I cant wait to get her outside in that! I'm going to take her down the the beach and walk on the boardwalk... better make sure Lola is looking her best b/c I know she'll be getting tons of attention! lol

As far as a name for it... we've been calling it the Lola Strolla! lol But I dunno.. I've gotta get her a little license plate that says LOLA1 or something like that! ha ha ha :)

Freddy, you're not kidding! I'm so lucky that I have him! LOL.. I would have never been able to do that myself!!!

I'm even going to send some pics of lola in her stroller to my local newspaper. They have a "CRITTER" section set aside for pets...and they are looking for pet projects. So I'll email them and send some pics! :)

HAHA, I can just see people's reactions to you walking a stroller with your bird in a cage! You have to let us know when you take her out and what people say! :D

LOVE it! I want one!! You should go into business and sell them on eBay! Bella would love that I think, and what a great way to bring her outside, instead of lugging the travel cage. Super job! I am sure lola is going to have a blast.

Yeah, what's good for a dog just doesn't work for a bird in this case.

haha A little license plate would be great!

Definitely keep us informed which we know you will. :D

I'm sure the newspaper people will love seeing a picture of her. She's going to be one popular caique!

I dunno if I'm gonna make more. Its actually up to my fiance-he's the one that did all the work and the plans.

My plan was actually just to take off the fabric of the stroller and put a piece of wood or MDF board to make a base and get a small parakeet cage to fit right there. Anthony wouldnt let me take the easier way out. ha ha ha...
