The honeymoon's over

Postby beakerskyler on Tue Jul 17, 2007 9:38 am

Yes, third time was the charm. lol In spending almost 5 hours with Spike Le Bec last Friday evening, I came home with a good 'pinch' on my right index finger knuckle and two matching 'gouges', one on each thumb. But he's a crazy boy and I love him. I had dinner with Sally B and we sat in her store and talked until about 11:30pm! Time goes by so fast with her - she is so enjoyable and has all kinds of funny stories to tell.

Spike seemed to enjoy the new toys I brought him and while I was sitting there with him, he started regurging! I was thrilled! LOLOLOL Isn't that crazy? To be excited that a bird likes you so much he's throwing up for you. In fact, he did it so hard one time, it's like his whole body was bobbing. Sally just roared. She said she had never seen him regurg quite to that extreme before. He was a typical Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde for the entire time I was there and he is absolutely the most incredible guy! I DO have pictures from my June visit with her, but I can't seem to get them into a jpg format and/or to get them sent. I may try to send one of them to one of you privately if you don't mind - maybe one of you are not only more computer savvy than I am, but are more skilled at modifying pictures. I can't send them from home at all, and I'm having trouble even reformatting them here at work. Sigh, it's very frustrating.

Once again, Andrea, I must say that you're very lucky!

Spikey sounds like such a joy who is definitely all caique.
That's wonderful that you got to see them again and spend so much time talking to Sally in her store!
I'd be thrilled just to see the store let alone her and Spikey LeBec.

Hopefully something will work out with the pictures and you won't have to be frustrated about it anymore. It definitely isn't fun when computer things just don't work right.
The best things in life are those who share it with you.

Well, I think that it is a battle wound to be proud of. How many of us get to meet the most famous caique in the world? I am pea green with envy.
