Postby brimonster on Fri Jul 06, 2007 2:27 pm

Ok, I think I am long due for some pics and videos. Sorry guys, I have been more active on the Tailfeathers forum because there seems to be more activity there on more threads (no offense!). So without further ado, here are some pics and things!
Zorro and her favorite toy, lol!

great pics and vid! Do they just love eachother or what?! :D

and I don't wanna preach, but are you worried about them getting away being outside ? They look absolutely beautiful playing and bathing and being their birdie selves! It's just that you hear so many stories of even clipped birds getting away. I'd hate to see your babies get lost...

I have no fear of them getting away. I don't know how to explain it. Dweezel has flown off before, when we lived somewhere else and his wings were not clipped. After that he has been only outside with his harness, until he got his wings clipped. Zorro is scared to fly but I know she could technically catch a wind.

I really can't describe how I trust them, but I do. I have never had a problem, in fact I have more problems with them when they are inside out of the cages rather then outside. Outside they have one stand and the table they get to play on and they stay there all the time.

Dweezel likes to stalk the front door so he can run out when you open it and he hops right up on a chair and up to the stand. I never leave them out there on their own either.

Oh wow. They're gorgeous! What cuties! It's wonderful that they get along. They really seem to like being outside.
    Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for all the wonderful comments everybody!

Freddy- don't worry, just take lots of pictures and you will always be able to look back at his cute little baby face! You are lucky, well, actually everyone here who got their fid as a baby is lucky! I never got to see either of my Caiques as babies! I got Dweezel when he was 1 year old and Zorro is 5 or so. So cherish them while you can! And post some pics for me to see those little baby faces! Hopefully by next spring I will be posting pics of Dweezel and Zorro babies!

Yeah, Zorro has a nest box that she sleeps in usually and they both go in and out of it (though they are VERY rarely in it at the same time). They are starting to bond more, they preen each other more and sometimes they follow each other around. They are also sharing a cage now.
