Zorro Update

Postby brimonster on Sat Jun 23, 2007 9:15 am

I just wanted to tell everybody about what I found out! Zorro is indeed a female! I got her DNA sexed through Avian Biotech last week but I was on vacation and couldn't get on here to let you guys know! I'm so excited! BTW, she has now fallen desperately in love with my boyfriend, which makes me very happy. Dweezel has also decided too that if Zorro likes my boyfriend, so can he! So now we are one big happy Caique and human family! We can take them both out and hug and squeeze them and then trade and do the same to the other bird!

*This is Briana being very happy!*

That's great news Brianna. Now maybe your boyfriend can see the " wisdom" of adding another caique to your family. You may have to rename your female to Zorra.
    Yankee-BH Caique, hd 6-27-06; Twinkie de Oro-yellow male parrotlet, hd 6-25-08; Brody, Finlay, & Ravyn--Yorkies; (Jasmine-beloved parrotlet, 11-14-03 to 06-24-07)

Yeah, I'm not sure if I'm going to call her something else, though I do like Zorra, Cathy!

Michelle- Yeah, we're like the Brady Bunch here! It's so nice to finally function as a family! There is finally no hostility between my boyfriend and the birds!

Freddy- Thanks! I hope I am a good parront! I feel bad because normally they all get to come out of their cages pretty much all day but I was on vacation the last 10 days so they had to stay in their cages while my boyfriend was a work! They also didn't get to go outside the whole time I was gone so they were so excited to have me home and the first thing we did was go outside with them!

Hey Brianna, I am so glad to hear that they both get along and love you both. They will enjoy having each other to play with too. And to talk to when you guys are gone.

 I can related to that... I was not a "pet" person at all and didn't really want to get Jujube. Now I take care of her(more than my husband) and love her very much. How can you not love them when they come over to cuddle? :D

Glad to hear that now all of you are getting along!
