Has anyone purchased from here?

Postby Freddy on Mon May 07, 2007 8:51 pm

I found a site

http://www.petsafe-warehouse.com/the_pe ... rchase.htm

that has baby WB listed for sale at a very reasonable price -750- not sure if this place is to be trusted or not. They say they have babies of all ages ready to ship. If any of you have had a positive experience from them please let me know. The wait at shady pines is makin me nuts. Will probably be July or later till my boy is ready. ANY FEEDBACK would be welcome

Thank you
Freddy

Not I.

DJ Aviaries has one that will probably be ready the end of May. Tammy is wonderful. She shipped my caique and he jumped out of his carrier and was so well socialized that I had it made.

I just looked at their add and I don't understand why payment must be made by Postal Order. That seems really fishy to me.

Not only that, but I don't think it'd be a good idea to buy any type of animal from anything labeled as a "warehouse".... even if it's only a classified on a website... I wouldn't trust it!

I've chatted with "DJ Feathers" before, and they are great people! Haven't personally bought from them but someone worth recommending no doubt! They sell both WB and BH caiques. Can't really say I can recommend any breeders cause I can never remember who has what, but by names alone I know of quite a few people who are quite reputable!

There is a number there on the site, I would call and talk to this "Denise" about it. But first, google that area code to make sure it is actually from Geneva, Florida. You don't want to call one of those scam numbers that make you pay like $1000 a minute!

There are so many reputable breeders in the U.S., PLEASE don't buy from someone YOU don't know or WE don't know.

Patience is a virtue

The area code is an Orlando one.... Florida no doubt because it starts with a *4*. Geneva seems to be either a "small town" just outside of Orlando or suburb of Orlando. Probably is just a small town, so to speak...

Thanks guys

When the house is so quiet at night I find myself gettin a little punchy and i start grabbing at straws sometimes. This place sets off a few alarm bells for me - sounds "puppy mill-ish". I will contact DJ and inquire about the liitle one or just wait my turn. They say the best things are worth waiting for - right? Thanks for talking me down off the ledge. I just so want to join your little fraternity. I feel like an outsider lookin in . Living vicariously thru you all. LOL.

Thanks again
Freddy

awwwww, you're already one of us Freddy, and you have a lot to look forward to. Your little baby will be all the more special because of your wait. But I do know how you feel. I'd be climbing the walls too! LOL

Hi Freddy. I was just looking online and found this add:

http://www.birdbreeders.com/findbird4450.aspx

I think the bird is a couple months old. If you really want one now I think this will be a good choice, unless you wanted a younger baby.

They have some other different choices at
