Sorry about you loss and welcome to the Caique "I want attention" world.

I never had a pet while growing up and wasn't too thrill when my husband wanted a Caique(because our friends have them). After 2 years and 7 months I LOVE my jujube!! She is very cuddly in the moring when she wakes up or at night before she goes to bed. She doesn't really say much words other than "poopoo" and "jujube" but she make all kind of funny noises and whistles. Of couse she can be pain in the B sometimes... I am sure you and your wife will enjoy the little boy. They are just too cute and lovable :P
