Hi Michelle,

How is Lola doing these days??? Jamie is just starting her spring hormonal behaviour. I so hope that she does not chew off her flight feathers again!

Hi Kate!
Lola is doing pretty well actually! She's stopped chewing her feathers, thank goodness! she has been growing in a bunch of head, chest and back feathers so she's been a little touchy if I scratch a pin feather that hurts. Other than that, she's alright!

It's amazing how birds can just chew up their feathers! Its like, dont they know they're mutilating themselves??

Yankee is starting to get new feathers, too. He is only 7 months old, so I guess this is when his coloring will change. He is pretty good about his feathers and seems to like me to rub the ones around his face and neck very gently.
