My pet cinnamon, pearl pied cockatiel of 14 years died this morning. I feel so bad. About 3 weeks ago, I noticed that his droppings were yellow. I thought about taking him to the vet as this may be a sign of liver disease. I realize now how good he was at concealing his illness. He didn't appear sick. He ate normally and was in seemed in good spirits. But about 3 -4 days before he died, I noticed that he was not himself. He was very tired and in active. He died lying on my wif'e's chest. I actually saw him take his last breath. I don't know if the vet could have made him better. But I am so upset. I should have tried taking him to the vet.
