Funny Story

Postby Tandy on Sat Nov 11, 2006 8:14 pm

Hi all. Just wanted to share a funny story. Recently I had to take Rowdy, my BH, to work with me (I'm a naturalist) because my heater went out. Needless to say, the rowdier things are the better he likes it. Anyway, he started make noises and people would stop and come back to listen and say something like, "Isn't that the swings I heard squeeking?" or the microwave, smoke alarm tester, etc. It was so funny to watch him play his game with these people that had no idea they were playing. He made noise and they came back and gave him attention. I don't know who coined the term bird brain, but obviously they were never around our caiques! I noticed that he did noises that they would hear inside and none of his elk calls, wild bird calls, etc. Too funny. Tandy

I can just picture it. What a hoot!

It sounds like your bird was received much better than my puppy. Last May, I bought myself a tiny yorkie for mother's day. He wasn't eating good so I took him to school with me and put his little kennel under my desk. My classes are usually loud enough that they wouldn't hear a little tiny whine but they did and so out came my 3 pound monster of a dog. Wouldn't you know that the principal's daughter is panic stricken when she sees a dog and flew out into the hall and refused to come back into my class. Some days I wish that I had gotten fired over that episode but I escaped.
