Toys

For those of you wanting to buy reasonably priced toys with a small profit going to a great cause, check out parrottoyangels.com
If you scroll down a little, (close to the center of the page), you'll see where it says 'Angel Toys". Click on that link and look at all the toys made by Angels. Not only are they reasonable in price, the proceeds go to help make toys for needy birds in rescues and other non-profit facilities.
The toys are made with strict safety standards and are all original and hand made. Most of the toys are intermediate or small/medium and are perfect for caiques, smaller conures and senegals.
You can also check out the more than reasonably priced toys at tristatepets.com
She sells toys and parts and you cannot find better prices anywhere. Purchase some of her parts and make your own toys!

Beth, where did you find the acrylic window perch? I have been looking for one. We have the same type play gym except mine is smaller and sits higher off the floor.

I enjoyed your pictures.

Hi Cathy..The window perch is from Wingdow. The link is the following: http://www.wingdow.com/

Thanks..I am glad you liked my photos....I am already looking at more types of gyms that are out there to extend her play area even more when I am home and she is out. I really have to watch, because it is SO easy to spend so much on our little ones, and their is such wonderful things out there for birds! I am amazed!! I don't have children and am single, so she really is like a baby to me! Hope that doesn't sound weird!! Take care..

I love to shop for my birds. There are so many things that I just can't resist that my husband is starting to growl every time I get a package. I try to get home from school before the UPS man gets to the house. He usually comes about 4 and I am expecting a package tomorrow so I'll have to hurry home!

PS I also shop for my yorkies but my sons make such fun of any clothing that I buy and take it off my dogs that I stopped that! Plus my female yorkie wond wear a boy in her hair and takes anything the top knot off of my male that I think that it is a conspiracy!

I think I posted these pics here before but I will do it again since I just love my birdies!
This stand is one we made from a bar stool, poplar branches, and sand-blasted grapevine that I got when I had reptiles.
Image
this other one is a stand I got 3 years ago from a friend, it looks a little bare right now because I took it with me on vacation and haven't replaced the toys yet.

Speaking of building your own things, here is a pic of our aviary (5' in front X 4' in back X 3' wide X 2' deep), the fids have chewed a hole in the back corner so it is an indoor aviary now but it was originally used for outdoors in the summer.
