Male Behavior?

Hello,
I have a male budgie around a year old. He's doing something I've never seen him do before. Stands on cage side, holds on with both feet, backwards! , making this odd sound. He does it inches away from the female....this the beginning of breeding behavior?

    Pardon me for laughing at the image :lol: Does sound like your boy is showing off very excitedly, but I've had too few budgies recently for my experience to be helpful to you. The flock of 2 dozen that I had for a couple years 15 years ago seems pretty dull compared to yours! Maybe my memory is just too shot, but I don't recall ever seeing this happen with mine :mrgreen:

    Well, to be polite...it is rather obscene looking!! lol She comes over and starts pecking on his beak, if we get eggies, guess we'll know! :D

    That's odd.lol.Never heard something like that.Can you post some pictures of him.This is kinda unusual behavior.
