My friend just rescued a parakeet from the jaws of her cat. She's not able to take care of him/her with 5 cats in the house, so currently he's sitting in my spare parrot cage. She lives near to Fort Smith/Elkam junction (Deltona, FL)-so if anyone is missing this bird...
I am not able to keep him, so if anyone is willing to give him a good home, I would really appreciate it. He is very small probably just a baby, seems healthy. Is a very pretty color-white with a blue patch,and slight head banding. If I was making a guess I would say it's a male=but it's so hard to tell with babies.
If anyone can help please Email-I don't have very much seed left, would love someone to take him tonight-You will need to bring a cage.

I just saw this. If no one has taken this poor baby yet you could try taking it to HALO or another no kill shelter. They have foster parents for the birds and will get it to someone who will love it. You could search petfinder.com for birds and that will give you a list of shelters that take birds.
