Metal Z box or just metal boxes are crimped together when made. I just remove the piece that is crimped
over the edge and take the top off. That way you have full access to line it with wood. I use anywhere from
a 1/4 inch to 5/8 plywood. I use the 1/4 plywood to reduce the entrance hole. That way it is not to much
work to get into back into the nest box by chewing the hole bigger. I like to do it and it works well for me
here. I like to do it for my amazons as well in the beginning of their season. Oh once the box is open I just
made a pattern of the z shape using a piece of paper for a pattern. Makes it easy. I just need to figure out
where I want to mount the camera on the outside of the box somewhere so I can have the best of both
worlds... LOL

I bought 3 as pairs proven pairs. 1 pair turned out to be 2 males... as I had everything sexed by Dr Scott
McDonald. I had one w/c hen sexed up in Madera where he was doing a sexing clinc. Did you happen to
be there with about 4+ Greys to be sexed? This was last year sometime in the fall.

Anyway none of my "proven pairs" have done a thing and would prefer to do what you did by buying birds
that were fromer pets from now on. Best that your males are not tame.

Are you open to breeder loans or trying a trade to see if your/mine likes each others mates better then
what we have at home? I have a little hen that prefers me but I think I just don't have a male she likes? She
may do well at your place with one of your nice males. I have tried her with 3 of my males, trouble is she
likes me? Maybe that is a option we could try? If she doesn't want to be a breeder then I will sell her or make
her a pet? But I just don't have a male she likes, but you may have Mr. prince charming... ;) who knows???

So that makes me in the need of 2 hens as well, because of my old hen that is non-viable. She is dried up, she
has no eggs left per Dr Scott. I have been trying to build her health in hopes that all the stimluation around
her along with her mate that she loves could again begin to lay. I gave her some fake eggs and she got broody
and sat on them really well. So the drive to be a mommy is there just hope she can lay again someday??? Dr say
you never know as he has seen stranger things happen before? So I'm hoping? But she is with a nice W/C male
that is going to waste, but she and he are happy with each other.

I currently feed zupreem fruit but I'm thinking of changing to something more natural? I sprout seeds everyday
and feed a bean mix with other veggies mixed in. I give seed 1 to 2 days a week.

Send me a private e-mail and we can talk private if you like? I'm not really sure how to do that on this list... duh

thanks...

I'm not much on these computers. nowing how to do things but I noticed on the side. there Icons with print and send E-mail to a friend. Maybe that is the way to send E-Mails. I would rather go that way. It would be nice to keep in touch.
see if you know how to do the E-Mail and I will let you have mine.
I am not sure about trading or on lone. It would be ok with me if we could do something like that. I don't think we have had them long enough to know if they would or would not mate.
You said you got yours this last summer and most of mine I got since Sept of last year. The last three were in around Sept.
    The pair in may.
Where did you find yours. I was getting mine from La.
I have a large bag of Zupreem for large parrots a mistake I made not paying attention to what I was doing when I got it.
Thought the birds would eat them anyway being it was of the same kind they eat anyway. Well I was wrong. They don't like the large pellets. If you could use them I would like to give them to you. call 674-9183. I hope it is ok to post #s.
Yes, I guess I was there at that time with my birds. It was late by the time I got in.
I really like Dr. Scout. wish he were here right now. My breeding female I noticed her beak need some work. Don't know if the male has caused it or if she was this way when I got her. It must not have been like that all along or Dr. would have noticed.
About the Z boxes. I don't know if I removed the part if I could get it back to getther. One of these days when it gets warmer I will try and see if I can fix them. I know it would make it so much nicer.
I went out this morning and changed a couple of perches. It might make them sit closer to gether.
let me know about the pellets and I can bring them to Fresno we can meet somewhere.
