I placed an order for 50lbs of pellets. I called to check on the status of my order because I was down to a 1 week supply. I left 1 message 3 days in a row with no return call. I then emailed them through the site and finally got a response. They were put out, to say the least, that I was trying to follow up on my $97 order. Thank God I was persistent in getting an answer! It will be 3 to 4 weeks because they do not keep it in stock. If I had not pissed them off with my calls and email, I would have been left high and dry. Use your own discretion when ordering from ThePerchStore.net

Jeff, you must remember that stores like that often don't keep products in stock... to do so one would need a warehouse to store all the items. They could buy 20 items, sell 13, and the last 7 no one might want, so they loose money on the last of the products. However, if they are the "middle man" and do drop shipping (i.e. they list products they can get for you, you buy the product from them, they then buy the products from their supplier and have it shipped to you). In this way, the companies can be home based and may never personally handle your product (or if they do, it is to ship it to you once they received the package from the supplier).

Personally I can understand the frustration. If a store is currently out of stock of an item that should be noted on the website so an item that someones needs soon, such as food, can then be ordered elsewhere where it is in stock.
