I have a sweet female import I got two weeks ago. I picked up Sam, a male import, Saturday. Well we did not introduce them till Monday afternoon. Seperate cages side by side. Less than 1 minute after they were put side by side Sophie noticed him and started regurgitating. If was quite funny! They started acting crazy, strutting, screaming and prancing. By Monday night Sam was destroying his cage so we had to move him in a heavier one. Well by Tuesday night he had opened that one and was on top of Sophie's cage. Against out better judgment we decided to let Sophie out on her cage as she was begging to be let out. She charged out of her cage and went straight to Sam. We were standing by with nets to separate them if needed. Well within 5 minutes he was on top of her doing you know what with both of us watching. Both were loving it. They did it twice then they started grooming each other. All while we were standing watching. They are defiantly not bashful LOL! I guess now I need to hang a nestbox!!!

Why no quarantine

Sorry I guss I forgot to mention I have had both less than 2 weeks and both were put in my quarantine building. All my new birds are quarantined for 60 to 90 days in a completely seperate climate controlled building.
