Canary eggs normally hatch after 2 weeks of incubation (i.e. sitting on the eggs tightly). It's possible that the eggs are infertile if they haven't started hatching by now. The canaries may be laying more eggs because the first ones didn't hatch. Do you know how old the canaries are? What diet they are on? If they have a proper nest? It's also possible that she doesn't have a true pair... but rather 2 females so the eggs may never be fertile.
Do you think you could get a hold of your mother and get more information?
