Vitamin supplement

Postby peacockboy on Sun Jan 03, 2010 9:21 pm

For years, I used a vitamin supplement made by Phoenix Unlimited called "Nutrition Plus". Apparently they went out of business as I've not been able to get in touch. My birds did very well with this and quite honestly, don't look as good as when I had them on it. I raise mostly macaws, cockatoos, and caiques. Does anyone have a recommendation for a substitute for "Nutrition Plus"? Thanks.

Have you tried contacting anyone who may still sell their products?

Found this number 502-367-3980 for Phoenix Unlimited, but was also for a pet supplies company in Kentucky, as well as someone elses phone number... so I don't know what is correct.

There's Prime by Hagen. Not a big fan of a lot of their products but have heard that Prime is great...

There's also products by Avitec...

Vetafarm...

And a lot of other possible supplements...

I know this reply is coming along fairly late, but for what it is worth. . . .

Since we feed a primarily pelleted diet, we do not see the need to supplement. However, our Macaws get a seed-heavy diet, so we also give them AviVitaPlus by Avitech.

Also, for feather pluckers, Featheriffic also from Avitech really does seem to help.
